The Old Building

The dream starts off in 'Hawaii.' I put that in quotes because it's not really Hawaii, it's just where my mind said we were. We were actually right next to the airport in this sort of cove thing between some cliffs and the airport with a small beach out in front of it. I was back cuddling with Mike and some guy kept bothering us so we decided to walk out to the shore where we spot a snake in the sand. I point it out to everyone and my brother seeks out the head of the snake. He succeeds in finding the head and stupidly decides to grab it, rip the snake out of the sand, and start showing it t everyone. Eventually he drops the snake and it burrows back into the sand. As Mike and I are walking back up, the ground begins to shake. I end up walking into the airport and stop at the closed gate which says it opens at 10:45 though it was already 10:53. As I'm walking back out, the ground starts shaking again and buildings begin collapsing outside. At this point everyone begins to run into the airport, which is a crowd of about 75 people (if I were to guess). This time there is a woman standing there guarding the entrance and refuses to let anyone enter because the terminal is not yet open. In frustration, I yell at here, "I was just up there!" After about 30 seconds we decide to just all run through her and a couple people pin her to the wall to let everyone past. With the size of our group, we easily pound through the locked glass door that was just past the woman and start running through the terminals. Eventually we get to the other side of the airport to the main street, which happens to be the only the street that hasn't collapsed (all the streets seem to have collapsed into the dirt and the buildings have just collapsed into piles of rubble).

Now everyone except me, Mike, Hermes, and Leela (the last two being from Futurama) has disappeared. I honestly don't know where they all went. We are facing down the street at this one really old building that is still standing just at the end of the street. As we approach it and open the door, Hermes states, "Well, it must be important if it's the only building still standing." We enter it and find a staircase leading either up or down. There is a sign with information that I of course don't read as I start going downward. Mike and Leela follow as Hermes stays and reads the sign. It says something about going the opposite direction will get you to your destination and that there would be an exit every nine levels. So we all walk down nine levels to the first exit which is actually on the same level as the entrance. In fact we could walk around the side of the building to get to the point we entered. As we walk out, there's another sign on the door that says, "Beware of Bear Mouse." We walk out a little ways and see this giant mouse thing down the road attacking someone. As we turn back to go back inside, there is one standing in front of the door which approaches Leela and starts hitting on her (like in the cheesy romantic kind of way). Leela refuses and darts back inside, as do Mike and I. The mouse is furious and decides to take Hermes hostage until she reconsiders. Hermes demands we leave him behind and continue on. The next exit just leads to some weird cliff landing and we just pass by it. Finally we make it to the bottom (or so we thought) and open the door which leads to the roof of the building.

The roof has four little poles on it with these little tabs sticking out of each one. We have no idea what we're supposed to do so we approach one and just push all the tabs down, which causes the mouse below that's keeping Hermes hostage to return to normal size and scatter off. We do the same for the other three and the buildings and streets begin to rise again. Then we see this little circle thing with a glass piece on it and we decide to flip it over just because and the entire world flips around us (upside down) so we flipped it back over. I know that's a pretty lame ending to this dream but you have to remember it was a pretty lame dream as well. We all walk back up (and thus down) to the entrance and walk off into the sun. Yay, the end.
