You Failed to Mention That Part
Everyone gets frustrated when they're trying to follow someone's directions and they left out a key piece of information that causes an unwanted result. Most people reading this are probably thinking of instances with electronics. However, my example has to do with cooking (who would have ever thought).
As a kid, I always loved scrambled eggs and when I tried by first fried egg, I fell in love. I watched my mom several times cooking fried eggs as she continuously made it seem like a piece of cake. The problem: I was never there at the beginning as she was preparing the pan. For years I tried to replicate the technique of frying eggs but they always fell apart when I tried to scrape them off the pan. My solution was to spray it with no-stick spray. That didn't help. I continued to try yet they always ended up becoming scrambled eggs after they fell apart. I also found out that scrambled eggs that are made by first frying the egg and then scrambling taste a lot better than scrambled eggs that are scrambled first before touching the pan (you should try it some time).
One day I was trying to figure out why my fried eggs always failed and then I thought to myself... fried... aren't most fried things cooked in... oil? So then I tried pouring a small amount of oil into the pan and to my amazement, it worked. I had finally created fried eggs! From there I continued to enjoy my fried egg talent and created my own little breakfast recipe (if you consider it a recipe). If you're dying to know what it is, don't worry, I'll tell you. All I do is mix some pancake mix for, say, four pancakes, except I pour it all in at once to make one giant pancake. Then, I make four fried eggs and put them on top of the pancake and I sprinkle some cinnamon on top for taste. It is quite good, enjoy.
